History

Nové Město nad Metují, town “on the rock” or “Czech Bethlehem”, one of the town in which history is rich tradition and history of textile industry, brought into being from 1883 A. Bernatzky company established by Antonín Nyklíček - cotton, wool and silk weaving.

The company became a part of Tepna state company - rather its branch manufactory number 14 after nationalization in 1948. Then the firm became a part of Jasna state company after 1989.

Nyklíček a spol. ltd. as a private company took up the company’s old tradion in 1994 and gave it the name after its former owner Antonín Nyklíček and also took over the company’s logo - blue star in yellow circle.

The year 2000 was very important for this company, because it got certificate of quality management system according to EN ISO 9001.
